Charlotte Holmes

Charlotte Holmes is a writer, a poet, and a teacher of creative writing. Her first book, Gifts and Other Stories, was published in 1994. Forthcoming from BkMk Press in 2016, her new collection of stories, The Grass Labyrinth, has been hailed as "a contemporary classic."

Charlotte received her MFA in poetry writing from Columbia University, and her BA in English from Louisiana State University. She has also been a Stegner Fellow in fiction at Stanford University. Since 1987, she has taught in the creative writing program at Penn State University's main campus, where she is Associate Professor of English and Women's Studies and Director of Creative Writing.
